Angie Buxton-King

"Since 1988 I have worked privately as a healer of adults, children and animals. In 1995 my youngest son Sam was diagnosed with Leukaemia and passed away in 1998 aged 10 .I have since felt very motivated to spread the knowledge that healing in all its forms can be a very beneficial tool working alongside allopathic medicine. Over the past 10 years I have been employed by University College London Hospital (UCLH) initially as a volunteer to prove a need and currently as Complementary Therapy Team Manager within Cancer Services .My mission remains to lead the acceptance and development of healing and other complementary therapies within healthcare. I have spoken at many medical and holistic conferences at home and abroad and in August 2004 my first book the ‘NHS Healer' was published by Virgin Books. Since the launch of our charity ‘The Sam Buxton Sunflower Healing Trust ‘in 2006 we have funded 7  healers to work alongside conventional medicine in the NHS.

With the launch of ‘The Guild of Professional Healers' we will continue to build on our strong foundations for the further integration of healing into healthcare."

• My first book the N.H.S. Healer was published by Virgin Books in July 2004. Paperback published 4^th August 2005
• There have been numerous press articles and magazines about my work in hospitals and at home and I have appeared on national and cable television
• 2006 saw the launch of our charity ‘The Sam Buxton Sunflower Healing Trust' which raises funds to provide healers within cancer centres
• Co-created with Graham our unique Healing in Hospitals workshop to provide healers with the skills needed to work professionally within healthcare  both here and abroad.

Graham King

• Reiki Master/ Teacher level
• Employed as a Reiki healer at University College London Hospital (UCLH) specialising in working with children and teenagers with cancer
• Lectures given on the benefits of healing to medics at UCLH and other NHS hospitals
• In October 2005 my work was featured on BBC 1 ‘ Inside Out Story'
• Invited to speak at the annual Chaplains conference in Northern Ireland 2004
• I teach and practise healing and other related topics privately
• In 2006 Angie and I created our charity ‘The Sam Buxton Sunflower Healing Trust' to provide funds for healers to work alongside allopathic medicine in NHS cancer hospitals and centres around the country.
